Orienteering relay is usually the most entertaining discipline with tight fights, a lot of changes in the leading group and even small mistakes can become crucial. The relay at the world orienteering championship this year was no exception. It was a tremendous battle for the victory, where the home team Latvia, was in the lead until just some controls were remaining. Sadly for the Latvians they become nr. 8 in the end, less than a minute behind the winning team. They didn’t win the gold, but they certainly won a lot of hearts with their effort! The only runner winning medals at the world championships representing Latvia is Edgars Bertuks. The answer of today is the name of another Latvian runner with a bronze medal at woc, when not representing Latvia.
