The runner of today was the first man from outside the Nordic countries to win Oringen in the elite class. He has passed 44 years, but is still fighting hard and was number 4 at EOC middle in Ticino earlier this year. He is the only man with gold in both middle, sprint, long and relay in the EOC history, but has never won an individual gold at WOC. The answer is his last name.
